CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

It is our vision to work with parents to introduce children to Jesus Christ and empower them to grow into a committed lifelong relationship with the Lord.

Write these commandments that I have given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside of our children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street, talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. Tie them on our hands and foreheads as a reminder, inscribe them on the door posts of your homes and on your city gates. Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (MSG)

MISSION AND VISION

It is our mission to provide a safe, nurturing and spiritually- challenging environment where children can grow and learn to exercise their faith in God. We seek through meaningful age-appropriate instruction to bridge Biblical truths with applicable holistic life lessons.

The people brought children to Jesus, hoping he might touch them. The disciples shooed them off. But Jesus was irate and let them know it. “Don’t ever get between them and me. These children are at the very center of life in the kingdom. Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.” Then, gathering the children up in his arms. He laid his hands of blessing on them. Mark 10: 13-16 (MSG)

OBJECTIVES

To assist parents in introducing their children to a committed relationship with Jesus Christ. To help each child understand that God is real and that a personal relationship with the Lord gives meaning to life.
To provide a safe, secure and loving environment for children.
To aid parents with their children in accepting Jesus Christ.
To provide children the opportunity to participate in worship and ministry.
To support families in their role as the prominent spiritual nurturer of their child.
To serve children holistically, meeting the needs of their spirit, body and mind.
To provide godly men and women who are well-trained to serve as positive role models as they minister with children.

Listen, dear friends, to God’s truth, bend your ears to what I tell you. I’m chewing on the morsel of a proverb, I’ll let you in on sweet old truths, Stories we heard from our fathers, counsel we learned at our mother’s knew. We’re not keeping this to ourselves, we’re passing it along to the next generation-God’s fame and fortune, the marvelous things he has done…Then commanded our parents to teach it to their children so the next generation to come know the truth and tell the stories so their children can trust in God; never forget the works of God but keep his commands to the letter.
